Kate Iglesias started Iglesias Law Firm in 2017 alongside her husband, David. Kate oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, and we couldn't do it without her. Some of her tasks include training the staff regarding firm procedures, supervising and counseling support staff, performing all accounting functions, helping to prepare and review legal correspondence and documentation, and recruiting and assisting in hiring employees.
Kate holds a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master's degree in Language and Literacy Education from Texas Tech University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was nominated for “Master Student of the Year.”
Before joining David at the firm, Kate was a middle-school teacher for seven years and was honored to be named “Teacher of the Year” numerous times at several campuses. In addition to managing the firm, Kate keeps busy managing her and David's four young children.
Kate enjoys serving as the president of the PTA at the children’s school and is proud that her children are receiving a dual language education. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Tyler ISD Foundation, and she has previously served on the Boards of Directors of the East Texas Crisis Center and the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. Kate also spends a great deal of time volunteering at church and enjoys participating in Bible Study Fellowship. At home, Kate can usually be found reading, gardening, baking, and playing card and board games with her family.
