Zachary Smith

Attorney

Zachary Smith brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to defending public officials and governmental entities. Before focusing his practice on defense work at Iglesias, PLLC, he built a strong foundation in the courtroom in commercial litigation and as a prosecutor for Smith County.  When all is said and done, Zachary is a trial lawyer.  There is nothing he loves more than advocating for his clients in a courtroom and to a jury.

A former educator, Zachary draws on the skills he developed in the classroom – communication, clarity, and patience – to better serve his clients and explain complex legal issues in an accessible way. His background in teaching continues to shape his practice today, enhancing his ability to connect with clients and juries alike.

In addition to his work for Iglesias, Zachary remains committed to education as an adjunct professor. Outside of the office, he enjoys reading, following the world of sports, and spending quality time with his wife, Kelsi (who is also an attorney at Iglesias), and their son.
